Matthew Willard is the Director of Operations at Willard Agri-Service.  He is the 3rd generation Willard to work for the company, as the son of CEO Billy Willard and grandson of company founder De Willard.

Matthew began his career with Willard Agri-Service in 2016 at the Mt. Airy, MD location, where he served as a plant assistant and eventually transitioned to location manager. Following his role at Mt. Airy, Matthew managed the Greenwood, Delaware location. Today, as Director of Operations, he has company-wide responsibility for all aspects of production, inventory, trucking and custom application of plant nutrition and crop protection products.

Matthew graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Agri-Business Management and Marketing, along with a Minor in Resource Economics. Upon graduation, Matthew worked as an Account Manager for Carlyle Cocoa Company, one of the world’s largest cocoa and chocolate ingredients suppliers.  His role involved sales of cocoa powder to confectionary companies throughout the United States, requiring extensive travel domestically, as well as trips to Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys working on the family farm.
